inside PJOL/OPJFC

Established in 1999, Paul Johansson Online encompasses two sites, Paul Johansson Online, Paul's official site, where you'll find
Paul's Biography, Filmography and Photo Gallery, and the Official Paul Johansson Fan Club, built by fans and for fans of Paul
and his work. We operate both sites from the sole standpoint of helping Paul Johansson in promoting his professional life. The
fact he's a really nice guy makes this quite easy sometimes.

The OPJFC is self-supporting, with occasional fund-raising events, like the Garage Sale, which helps support things like the Tape
Tree, and special events where the fanclub members can come to the Members forum and have some fun and get a giveaway
prize or two.

the Tape Tree Project
Over the years, various members of the OPJFC have contributed their personal collections from Paul Johansson's work to make
a series of video tapes called the OPJFC Tape Tree. The tapes that are distributed have been taped from broadcast/cablecast
television, edited without commercials, and for the sole purpose of the non-profit enjoyment exclusively by Paul Johansson
fan club members.

Tapes are sent (one at a time) 3-day priority to members who have registered for the Tape Tree and are placed on a rotating list.
Snail mail addies are only given for the next person on the list. Members are required to notify the OPJFC when they receive a tape,
and when they have sent it on to the next person. There is a $50 US replacement fee if the tape in your possession is damaged
or lost (possession includes the time beginning when the tape is received and ending when the next person on the list has
received it).

The Tape Tree circulates to members 2-3 times a year. The contents of the Tape Tree can be found HERE and includes the
majority of Paul's work. New to the tape tree this year are dvd quality copies of some of the movies, and coming soon
select episodes of Lonesome Dove:The Series, and Lonesome Dove:The Outlaw Years.

If you live outside North America, and have NTSC viewing capabilities, you are more than welcome to participate in the Tape Tree.

Liability
Personal information regarding fan club members (such as email or home addresses) is considered completely confidential material,
released only to other fan club members with prior agreement by all parties involved.  Paul Johansson Online nor the Official Paul
Johansson Fan Club will be liable for any actions inflicted upon any person who voluntarily posts their home address or local phone
number on the OPJFC Members Forum.

Paul Johansson Online and Copyright
Copyright is a very complicated issue, but for the most part not very consequential to the structure of Paul Johansson Online,
which operates for the sole purpose of promoting the professional life of Paul Johansson. All materials found on his web domain
are copyrighted to Paul unless prior arrangements have been made.

In terms of Paul Johansson Online, there are two specific viewpoints on copyright of any photograph taken at any event
sponsored by Paul Johansson Online or the OPJFC.  One is that you may take as many photos as you like and fru them
to your hearts content anywhere in cyberspace your heart desires.  If you choose to place your photos from this event on
a website, the only request made by Paul Johansson Online is that you provide a link to Paul's domain on your site.  That's it.

If your photos of Paul Johansson from any fan event have been submitted to Paul Johansson Online and are chosen for permanent
housing in the Official Photo Gallery of Paul's site for his promotional purposes, in no way forfeits your copyright to these photos
if you so choose to make a gazillion bucks from them;  but you understand it is Paul's option to use them in any promotional way
to his professional benefit.

Most materials found on Paul's web domain are EXCLUSIVE to Paul Johansson Online and cannot be published elsewhere without
prior permission. Any quotes by Paul found on PJOL are exclusive to the site and cannot be used elsewhere. Otherwise, as long
as permission is given by PJOL for use on other websites, please link back to Paul Johansson Online.
