About the Production

"Conversations in Limbo" is a film from the heart for both writer/director Paul Johansson and producer Jason Priestley. Johansson and Priestley have been friends since a talent scout named Franklin Levy on a trip to Vancouver discovered them both. Levy offered them management and moved them to the U.S..in the summer of 1987,  when both Priestley and Johansson began their careers in acting.  Both men have since shown their extraordinary talents behind-the-scenes as well.

Producer, director, and actor for the long-running television series "Beverly Hills 90210", Jason Priestley has most recently produced and directed his own documentary film "Barenaked in America" and currently appears in the award-winning play "Sideman" on London's East End.

Paul Johansson, just back from his lead role in Peakviewing's newest film, "Hooded Angels" and now finishing his newest screenplay for production this summer, wrote and directed "Conversations in Limbo".

The concept of "Conversations in Limbo" came to writer Paul Johansson in a dream.  "The story came to me in the form of a recurring nightmare," he said.  "Stabbed by an amiable yet violent assailant, I lay bleeding to death in an alley.  As the unwitting people pass by and mistake my predicament for folly or inebriation, I slowly bleed my life away.  It strikes me as both comical and tragic.  Not unlike life."

Johansson took his story idea about being stabbed and left for dead in an alley to his friends Jason Priestley and producer Peter Foldy, and together they created this short film.  "Conversations in Limbo" is Paul Johansson's directorial debut.
